RMG Roadshow @ Thomson Plaza 2026 — Event Recap
From 28 September to 4 October 2026, Royal Motor Grandeur held a seven-day roadshow at Thomson Plaza, 301 Upper Thomson Road, #01-84, open from 10am to 10pm daily. The roadshow formed part of the Sgcarmart Trusted Brand Showcase, and brought together electric, hybrid and petrol models in one place so visitors could compare all three without visiting separate showrooms.

EV, Hybrid or Petrol — What We Showcased
Four cars, three powertrains. The point of bringing them together was to let visitors weigh up the options in one afternoon rather than across three separate trips.
Electric
MGS5 EV — an electric crossover SUV built around family use. Rear-wheel drive, 99kW and 250Nm from its motor, a 62kWh battery and up to 425km of range, with a full ADAS suite as standard. For most Singapore families the range figure is the relevant one: it covers a typical week of island driving on a single charge, which is what turns an EV from a project into a normal car.
MG4 Urban EV — the entry point into electric motoring, and noticeably more spacious and practical inside than the previous MG4. Visitors tended to notice the larger central touchscreen, the column-mounted gear selector that frees up console space, the built-in navigation and the panoramic roof. The V2L function — using the car’s battery to power external devices — drew more questions than we expected.
Hybrid
Honda Stepwagon Spada — a seven or eight-seat MPV depending on configuration, running Honda’s e:HEV system: a 2.0-litre engine paired with twin motors producing 181bhp and up to 315Nm, returning up to 20.4km/L. The seven-seat version folds its third row flat into the floor for a level load bay, and the second-row captain’s chairs have extendable footrests. For families who need seven seats but don’t want to think about charging, it’s a straightforward answer.
Petrol
Honda WR-V — a compact SUV with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder producing 116bhp and 142Nm through a CVT, averaging 16.4km/L with a 380-litre boot. For buyers who want a higher driving position and familiar, uncomplicated motoring without changing how they refuel, it does the job without fuss.
